On this episode of Values & Capitalism’s Common Good podcast, my guests are former Congressman Frank Wolf and Elyse Bauer Anderson. Mr. Wolf represented the 10th district of Virginia in the U.S. House of Representatives for over 30 years, and is now Jerry and Susie Wilson Chair in Religious Freedom at Baylor University and distinguished senior fellow for the 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative. Elyse Anderson spent a number of years on Capitol Hill as a foreign policy advisor to Mr. Wolf. She is now senior advisor and director of special projects at the 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative.
In our conversation, we discuss the plight of religious minorities in Iraq and the rest of the Middle East, which my guests witnessed firsthand during a recent trip to Iraq. We also talk about what it will take to stop the Islamic State, and what the U.S. government, the church, and the American public can do to advocate for people groups that are on the edge of extinction.
