Event: The Moral Case for Addressing America’s Fiscal Crisis

America’s federal debt has topped $17 trillion. Should this be cause for concern or indifference? Is it finally time to take action? Or can we continue to pass the issue on to future generations?

As many at our blog have written, this is fundamentally a moral choice. The consequences of inaction will be immense, particularly for the least fortunate in our society. And students especially, who will carry the brunt of this burden going forward, must be concerned about it. On Thursday, January 16th, Values & Capitalism program manager Josh Good will be participating in a panel hosted by The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB). The event brings together various voices, with explicit faith backgrounds, to address the moral dimensions of this critical issue.
