How to Spend Your Twenties

We’re continuing to post video highlights from our 2014 Summer Conference.

Today, we share an address from AEI scholar Charles Murray that touches on themes from his 2012 best-seller “Coming Apart,” as well as his new book “The Curmudgeon’s Guide to Getting Ahead.” Murray gives unconventional advice about how to spend your twenties—a period of life that he says can be a time of extraordinary growth. Rather than simply going through the motions dictated by upper-middle class culture, Murray encourages young people to push themselves outside of their comfort zones in ways that will holistically prepare them for the rest of our lives.
