Values & Capitalism on Campus: Cedarville University

Tuesday, November 5, 2013 – 7:00pm

On November 5, 2013, our program manager, Josh Good, traveled to Ohio for a visit with Cedarville University’s newly appointed president, Dr. Thomas White, and meetings with several economics and political science professors.  The trip also included opportunities to meet with a student who took part in AEI’s Summer Institute and offer a campus lecture.

The lecture—on changes in America’s family structure, the economic consequences of those changes and differing policy responses—was attended by 156 students and faculty members, making it one of our biggest crowds on campus this fall.  The evening included 45 minutes of lively Q&A discussion following the lecture.

Additionally, the visit included a dinner conversation with three top seniors who are studying economics and Cedarville’s three V&C faculty network members.
