Common Good #3 – Jay Richards

On this edition of Values & Capitalism’s “Common Good” podcast, our guest is Dr. Jay Richards, a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute and author of New York Times bestsellers “Indivisible” and “Infiltrated,” and Templeton Enterprise Award winner “Money, Greed, and God.”

You’ll hear Richards’ take on David Brat’s defeat of Eric Cantor, his explanation for why libertarians need God (check out this article for further reading), and you will also find out the secret path to prosperity—a pathway that really shouldn’t be a secret today.

Also, for our fellow Lord of the Rings geeks out there, Richards discusses the political philosophy that inspired J.R.R. Tolkien’s writing. He has a soon to be released book on the subject entitled, “The Hobbit Party: The Vision of Freedom that Tolkien Got and the West Forgot.”

Finally, he shares some advice on writing, calling, and vocation. Enjoy!
