Mr. Emilio Rodriguez is a third-year undergraduate student at Trinity Western University, pursuing a BA in International Studies, and specializing in International Political Economy. Originally from El Salvador, Mr. Rodriguez moved to Canada three years ago to pursue academic and professional development in Vancouver, BC. Mr. Rodriguez´s has developed his passion for public policy and social justice through professional and academic experiences, and a strong extracurricular involvement. In high-school, he received the second place in a national debate competition on the topic “Economic Analysis of Law”. He is a founding member of TRAC, a Canadian non-profit that provides sponsorship, volunteering opportunities, and advocacy for refugees. Last summer, Mr. Rodriguez interned in UNICEF, reporting on the Central American refugee crisis. Mr. Rodriguez is also an active campus leader, being the former president of the TWU Social Justice club and a representative of the international student community. Most recently, Mr. Rodriguez was within the 20 leaders elected Canada-wide to participate in the Fraser Institute 2018 Student Leaders Colloquium
