The RJ Moeller Show: Ramesh Ponnuru

We’re excited to welcome Ramesh Ponnuru to “The RJ Moeller Show!” Ramesh PonnuruRamesh is a senior editor for National Review, where he has covered national politics for 18 years, and a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. He’s the author of “The Party of Death,” a book about the sanctity of life in American politics, as well as a monograph about Japanese industrial policy. He has published articles in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. He received a history degree from Princeton University. We chat with Mr. Ponnuru about his experiences as a young conservative at an Ivy League school, how he ended up working for National Review, and what free-market voices on the Right like Bobby Jindal and Marco Rubio can do to lead conservatism forward. Follow him on Twitter at @rameshponnuru. In the second segment we welcome back to the podcast our friend Matt Levon who is in the States on a short leave from his base in South Korea where he serves in the United States Air Force. We run through some news headlines, including a recent study that found government workers are proportionally “less happy” at their job than their private sector counterparts.
